I was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1935. I’m divorced with two wonderful children (a daughter and a son) and a granddaughter. In 1975, my children and I relocated to the Tampa Bay, Florida area where we still reside. I have been truly blessed. Life has been good to me.
ABOUT MY BUSINESS AND WRITING EXPERIENCE
I began my career in the business world as a secretary right out of high school in June, 1953. Since then I’ve worked as Administrative and Executive Secretary and as a Supervisor in middle management in several companies in addition to owning and running my own secretarial service out of my home for 18+ years.
In 1986 after nine years of night college, I graduated with honors from St. Petersburg College with an AA Degree in Banking and Finance.
In 1998, after working in the business world for over 45 years at the encouragement of my family and friends, I made the decision to take early retirement and go into business for myself. I formed Tailored PC Documents (a sole proprietorship) as a home-based secretarial service providing remote secretarial services to businesses and individuals throughout the English-speaking world. Never in my wildest dream did I ever expect it would become the successful business it turned out to be.
In 2012, I decided to put together all of the secrets and shortcuts I’ve learned to create two books. One is to be titled How to Establish, Run and Build a $ucce$$ful Secretarial Service From Home. The other will be titled Dictation Transcription Tips, Tricks, Secrets and Shortcuts. These books are based upon my own personal experiences. I’ve used these experiences as examples and illustrations.
In 2013, I wrote and published an ebook in Smashwords.com titled, How to Record Meetings and Seminars for Transcription. Working with a Transcriptionist (to be updated in July, 2016). Here is the URL to that book: How to Record Meetings & Seminars for Transcription. Working With a Transcriptionist.
In 2014 after typing, transcribing, formatting, editing, proofing and publishing 24 books for customers, I decided to try my hand at writing my own novels. I have always had an interest in mysteries. I watch all the CSI, Law & Order, Criminal Minds, NCIS and other shows of that genre.
I have almost completed my first full-length novel titled Susan’s Stalkers – Double the Fear which will be Book #1 in a series of Susan’s Stalkers books.
In May, 2016, I published a short story as a FREE ebook titled A Box of Tissues, 2 Rolls of Toilet Paper and a Plastic Bottle of Water in Smashwords.com which is a “free to subscribe” ebook publishing site. Here is the URL to that book: A Box of Tissues, 2 Rolls of Toilet Paper & A Plastic Bottle of Water
I’ve added pages about all of my books in case you should happen to have an interest in my self-help books on transcription and running a home-based secretarial service.
If you would like to know more about what you can do working at home doing secretarial work, please let me know. If you need help or if you have any questions or suggestions, please leave them in the Leave a Reply section located at the bottom of each page. I promise to reply. After 18 1/2 SUCCESSFUL years, this year (2016) I’ve decided it’s time to phase out Tailored PC Documents and concentrate on my writing. The business has had a “great run”. I’ve met many wonderful people and taken on projects I never dreamed were possible when I started. The advancement of computer technology has made it possible for me to work remotely for people all over the United States. I even had one customer in England.
As I move forward into my writing, I look forward to hearing from you about your books and interest in mystery-suspense books.
